Hey guys,

The existing original tires and rims are P265/70R17. I want to go maybe a bit larger. I was wondering how big I can go without really changing the trucks ride too much or without having to make any type of modifications, lifting cutting etc. I may or may not change the rims right now.

Thanks. Will 285/70R17 fit? Too big?

Brian

you should be fine...the first number tell you how wide the tire is so know 315's can fit on the truck...youre fine

Yeah those should fit fine. Mine are 285/75 on the 16 inch rim (32.8" I believe), but the tire you will have will be essentially the same height. Only trimming I had to do was to the lower valance on the front bumper. But you would never even know that it was supposed to look different.

i figured he'd be fine too...same height just wider...but your 285/75/16 is about the same as my 305/30/26...32.2 or 32.6

Thanks guys. I do not want to do any trimming at all, so drop to 275? Also what is the best way to go, maybe going with a 275 with more height. I do understand how the tires get taller etc, just not sure which way to go?

What would be the widest tallest tire with NO trimming or rubbing at all. Thanks again!!

i dont think you can go wider than what will equate to 315...for width...nothing that would be taller then 30" rims...sorry...thats all i have for measurements/compare too
