98 with some problems

Hello new to this forum and seeking some help I own a 98 Expedition and have had it now several years without any troubles till just recently it started with after every fill up the CEL would come on but it would run normal at the time I had no code reader so I disconnected the battery to clear the cel and no light till it was filled again, now it has a bad hesitation seems to not want to go when you floor it revs to about 2000rpm then it will start to go. Well the other day my wife almost ran it out of gas ran it down pretty low and after that it started to miss everything seems to point to fuel pump or something with fueling so that is where I am going to start, what is normal fuel pressure for a 5.4 at Idle? also I used my superchip 1705 programmer for my diesel truck just to read the codes and I got P0174.

So far I have changed the fuel filter ran some injector cleaner and checked the notorious elbow for the PCV valve and it was fine.

Any Input would be greatly appreciated

check out this link, it has alot of information on the ford DTC P0171 and P0174 which are both engine running lean codes. The P0171 is the passanger side bank or bank 1 while the P0174 is the drivers side bank or bank 2.

Thanks for the Info! I cleaned my MAF sensor and that has seemed to fix my missing and weird running condition I checked the fuel pressure and it is 30PSI at Idle and jumps to 40PSI when shut off I left the gauge on for a few hours after with the expy off to see if the pressure holds and it does still have a stutter or miss in OD after doing some reading it seems that I may have a bad cop but which one? lol going to bring it to a friend who has a snap on scan tool see if he can get a miss fire code for whatever cop it is.
