So I figured I would post up some info on my air ride to xlt suspension swap. I swapped the air ride torsion bars for some xlt bars and the front air ride shock with Rancho RS9000 4in lift shocks. Then I cranked up the bars and the front of the truck sits at 37 1/2 inches from fender to ground. I believe the shocks are about a 1 1/2inch short but I am still working on an idea for that so I don’t need to buy more shocks. The rear I installed some xlt springs and a 2in spacer in place of the air bag along with Rancho RS9000 4in lift shocks. The rear is also at 37 1/2 inches from fender to ground. While doing the rear I noticed that the trac bar comes in contact with the sway bar when flexed. So I drilled holes about 3in lower then the stock location and now the sway bar is level and away from my trac bar. When I was getting the xlt parts from the junk yard I noticed an F150 with some black nascar rims and picked those up and put some 285/70/r17 BFGs and also grabbed a 3rd crossbar for the roof.

First picture is stock air suspension flexing. Took my daughter up to Tahuya ORV parkin Washington and spent the day off-roading.

I’m looking to do this to a 2001 Lincoln navigator
Do you have to change the torsion bars or is that just a precaution thing
I’m not lifting it may be a level that’s it
