a/c fan cutting out

howdy from the newbie...my 2003 a/c fan works fine at idle but as soon as i start to accelerate the air stops coming out of the vents and goes to the defroster and feet. when i let off the gas it comes back out the vents. b.t.w. i have manual a/c controls. any ideas?

vaccume leak look around the battery area , also PCV follow the hose back to the plenum or throttebody look for holes in the connections
