hey guys, been a long while.

So I replaced my a/c compressor, drier, orifice tube, low and high pressure switches. HOWEVER, the clutch is not engaging. What I've checked/tested:

1. all fuses and relay are ok.
2. put direct battery power to the compressor with engine off and got clicking
3. with engine on, direct battery power to compressor which engaged clutch so that I could charge system. (this worked as I was able to get 40 psi and 39 deg. at the vents). But once the hotwire was removed, the clutch still did not engage.
4. Jumped terminals at the low pressure switch and clutch did not engage.

So basically, no power to the compressor. What else do I check???

Thanks in advance.

Fuses first then function sector switch if manual controls or run diagnostics on EATC.

so all the fuses are good. I've switch the a/c clutch relay with the fog light relay and still nothing.

are you saying that the manual knob to turn on the a/c could be bad?

running EATC something I can do? is that when you push in the trip odometer and turn the key to accessory and wait for the gauges to blip?

How did you test the fuses?

Do you have a meter or test light?

Can you read/understand wiring diagrams?

There were two versions of a/c controls: manual knobs and electronic (EATC).

hey, i only have a test light. I can read and understand diagrams, and I have the manual knobs for climate control. BUT, I dropped it off at a shop this morning as I don't have time to work on it further due to this thing called a day job. I'll post back with what they find.

thanks

Haha it's called a day job but for some reason most of us leave before the sun comes up and come back after the sun went down.
