I have only had my expedition for a short 5 months. The rear camera is mounted just above the license plate, dead center. I just purchased a Yakima bike carrier on the trailer hitch - directly in front of the back up camera. Now because of the wide angle lens I still can see behind me but the park assist sensors are constantly on. I know I can turn park assist off but I really prefer not to. Is there a way to make it perhaps a bit less sensitive? Any ideas welcome and thanks in advance.

Park assist is not adjustable - its either off or on.

Yakima racks are the preferred equipment of opportunistic thieves looking to make a quick and easy buck. My only advice might be the most obvious - remove the rack when not in use.
