2019 xlt rwd has around 14k miles on it. I’ve noticed a lot of exhaust from the mufflers compared to other cars, even when comparing to other v6 engines. It’s not black, there’s no check engine light. Mpg has not changed either. Just visibly seems like a lot of smoke. The weather is cold.

Anyone else observing the same thing? I don’t think I’m really worried yet at least. I do have state emissions test due in a few months so I guess I’ll find out soon enough

It's condensation and is normal for this engine. As long as it doesn't have a blue hue or smell like its burning oil you're good to go.

@Nytimes770 I have the same white smoke at cold startup in the mornings now since it’s winter. Goes away after 1-2 mins of idling. I’m sure it’s just condensation from the temp drops at night here in GA.

Well mine continues beyond the first few minutes. Even when sitting idle in the school drop off lane after 5 minutes of driving

I just caught your comment about "state emissions", your location shows Florida. I live in Florida and there is no "state emissions" test in Florida. I'm a little confused.

I normally park my 2018 XLT on the driveway facing the street. On cold (i.e. < -15C) mornings, the exhaust is so thick it prevents me from closing the garage door until I've driven away - the "fog" blocks the light sensor! But that does change greatly once it warms up. I'm not sure it's any worse than any other vehicle I've owned though.

If you drive a lot of shorter trips you may notice it has more "smoke, steam" than others. If you don't drive long enough to heat up the whole exhaust system and push out all the moisture it will have a lot more visible exhaust than someone who does longer drives where most of the moisture is leaving the exhaust system. If it is just the white billowy stuff it is most likely fine. coolant in the exhaust can usually be smelled.
