hey all...my 05 expedition has experienced flashing and steady abs and traction control lights twice now with in 2 months time. Yesterday was the 2nd time. As I was leaving a DR. appt. the lights started flashing, abs engaging on dry pavement, with out even putting foot on brake. One thing different, I had it in 4x4 auto. During the time of the error, the 4x4 light would flash intermittently along with the other two lights. I then took it out of 4x4 auto, and the 4x4 light stopped, other two continued. As I drove along at about 7mph, the brakes finally stopped trying to engage, the lights stayed on continuous and I made it home. I'm hoping its just a wheel speed sensor, or even more so, just dirty, but does anyone know of a way to check the sensors with out taking it to a dealer to have them rape me?
