My '07 XLT did NOT have an 110v AC electrical outlet (fixed this during edit) anywhere in the truck. The '17 XLT has one on the back of the console easily accessible to rear seat passengers.

My 2000, 2004, and 2010 did not but my 2013 limited does. It may also be a function of option package.

My XLT must be bare bones, no 110v AC adaptor in my truck. I’d love to have one, but low on my fiddling around list.

The information I have indicates the 110vAC power inverter in the 2017 XLT is part of Equipment Group (option) 202A. 202A brings the XLT trim up to darn near Limited level (less heated 2d row seats, some chrome trim, and a couple other items).

The 2011 EL Limited we looked at had it. The 2010 did not. Same trim level.

My 2003 needs one but what I plan to do is run wiring to the rear, as if I were doing a sub/amp install but just run it to a large inverter so I have the option to power just about anything if ever necessary. I know for serious loads an alternator upgrade will be necessary but I dont plan to run much beyond portable devices. It should be equally simple to do the same in the center console. It's quite accessible and easy to dismantle with loads of room for wiring.

A decent size inverter is very handy.

I run an air compressor off my "4000 watt" (in quotes as these seldom run well at more than half power) inverter temporarily connected to the truck battery and the engine running. This ran at idle last fall, the last time I tried it, but needed more engine rpm last week. I'm guessing the air conditioning was on last week since I don't recall turning it off. Cables are less than 18" long and bolt to the battery terminals.

My bad....! LOL I mistakenly thought you were talking about air conditioning....not 110 volts a/c. I also have one in both of my Fords. 2017 Ford Expedition Limited and 2013 Ford XLT.

My 2015 XLT does not have the AC outlet. I do have a plug-in inverter, and found that rarely ever used it. The kids use the 12v plug for charging iPhones. So no real need to invert 12v DC to AC, to just go back down to 5v DC.

My 2014 king ranch has the 110 outlet, and everything else.
My previous 2 models in Eddie Bauer did not. Although xlt if a funny package by ford and it’s all a matter of equipment groups. You can have an xlt with cloth seats or one with heated leather and a sunroof.

Curious,
As others have mentioned, the 110 AC outlet was a power point, probably not provided by the Ford factory for the Expedition before 2011. Also, it was not available on the 2011 Expedition XL (Rapid Spec 101A) or XLT (Rapid Spec 200A). However, it was included with the 2011 Expedition XLT Premium (Rapid Spec 201A), Limited (Rapid Spec 300A) and King Ranch (Rapid Spec 400A) packages.

As a factory accessory, the power point is limited to 150 watts and provides power whenever the vehicle ignition is in the ON position AND when the power point green indicator light, located in the top left corner, is steadily ON. If you overload, overheat or short the power point, it will switch to a fault mode, showing a blinking green light. Then you could reactivate it by removing the item plugged into the outlet, turning the ignition back off, and then to the ON position. The power point may not work properly if you try to power a cathode ray tube type television, motor loads (such as vacuum cleaners, electric saws, power tools or compressor-driven refrigerators), devices that measure precise data (medical equipment), or items requiring extremely stable power supplies.

I have most often used the AC outlet for a phone charger when the other power points are already occupied. No, nothing hangs from my 2011 Expy’s trailer hitch. Just trying to help.
