Activate navi on sync 2 using forscan

I am going out attempt to activate Navi on my sync 2 using forscan. The only posting I found on it is for a fusion with sync 2. It looks easy, just want to know if anyone has successfully done it on their expedition and if you have any tips/advice. Thanks much.

I realize it was 2018 for your post, but I am looking at a "simple" sync 2 update on a 2015 . Ford Dealer said their system failed to do that, something about the APMI module not allowing itself to update. A couple postings say issues with the Ford system on SYNC 2 updates. If you are still on Forum, how did it go?

I was able to update myself via usb download. Dealer failed but customer an IT guy was able to update sync. I also got correct nav map SIM card via internet shopping. Lots of tricky got ya but done and works!
