IMG-20190726-WA0033.jpeg 20190726_204325_HDR.jpg 20190726_204333_HDR.jpg I bought these mirrors for my 2017, I am trying to figure out if they are wired correctly.

I have up down and turn signal, but no left right or puddle light.

Do you have any idea which wires do what? I've been searching for hours on a wiring diagram but I have nothing. I'm about to go get a fancy multimeter to see if I can energize the mirrors to narrow down my hunt.

I didn't catch it, how much did these cost?

Anyone try the cheap ones from Amazon? I've been thinking about ordering them but unsure of fitment and functionality

$250ish unpowered, $700ish powerfold

The $120 ones on Amazon are F150, the mounts are different they won't fit

This is what I ordered from Amazon :
Trail Ridge Tow Mirror Power Heat Signal Memory Puddle Black Pair for Expedition

They were $277.

The manufacturer part number is TR00047.

Aside from price, I opted to not get the powerfold because I couldn't guarantee that I'd be able to get the folding to work without having the option originally factory installed. I'm sure I could have figured out a solution, but it would have been of little benefit to me.

Unfortunately, I don't recall where I saw those at when doing my initial research.

I finally figured out and finished the install of the tow mirrors.

The wiring to get all the functions is easy but no intuitive. See pictures below for how I wired it up to have blinker, puddle light, and all axis control.

Please note though, that the up down axis is inverted. I'm unsure what I did wrong there, but it works for me. Pull back to go up, push forward to go down.

Anyway, you'll see that the 4 pins supplied by the aftermarket part needed to be spliced into 3.

Is it fixed? I'm not well versed in forum usage. It seemed to be much easier to load pics a few months ago. Now I had to add things to an album and assign permissions.

Probably because I use my phone to do all this.

Lemme know.

Thanks buddy, but I am getting the attached error messageView attachment 32676 on your links

SOLD —— I have a pair of Trail Ridge with turn signals, puddle lights, blind spot indicators, heated, manual fold and extend off my 2016 for sale. If you're in the area, see them on Louisville's Craigslist. They're really great mirrors. $300 new, for sale for $200.

Nice!! These are on the list.
Pretty sure I am reading correctly but you DID NOT have signal mirrors to begin with?

I wish there were a set of mirrors that amber lights on the edge of the mirror facing forward. I drive on a lot of skinny dark country roads.
I’ll likely just fold the driver mirror in.

Are the puddle lights the same as factory? Already bought LEDs for my factory mirrors would like to pop those in these.

Wish Amazon carried them. They carry the Trail Ridge brand but they are $380 for the signal models.

SOLD —— I see you're in KY - I have mine on Louisville Craigslist for $200 if you are interested. Drew

Did you make a wiring diagram? It is somewhat hart to tell which wires you swapped or wired together. Which wires controlled what?

I had the Trail Ridge ones on my 2009 Expedition. I had two complaints.
1) the mirror lens was very shaky when on the road. After a while you got use to it. But it still was annoying.
2) the whole telescoping mirror assembly would extract about 1/2” out when closing the doors hard.

HawkX66... Do they stick out any wider than the stock ones when pulled in. We have a set of clip on mirrors but I don't really like them that well. Wife drives the Expedition and sometimes parking spots are a little tight. She doesn't want those type of super wide mirrors when not towing.

I would say the profile is similar when they're folded in. They tuck in pretty close.

Yes, the thickness of the mirrors are very similar so the overall width of the vehicle is the same when the mirrors are folded in. Just remember that they aren't power fold. My wife can't reach out the window to fold them in.

When folded out (not extended) they do stick out wider than the stock mirrors. Not a LOT, but they are wider. When extended, they are about 4 inches wider then retracted (8" total vehicle width). My wife has trouble extending the passenger side when seated. Folding in and out is not a problem.

PS
was looking into a steel winch bumper like the one you have (less the hoop) but was concerned about loosing the lower cooling inlets. I tow a rather large TT and am concerned about any reduction in inlet air to rads. Any opinions on that?
