I found a set of wheels/tires for sale off of a newer f-150. I want to put these on my 2007 Expedition EL limited. The tires for sale are 265/60/R18. Every tire website recomends 265/65-70/18. Are these safe to put on my expy? Are all Ford 6lug patterns the same?

Put wheels from a 2010 F150 King Ranch on my old 05 Eddie Bauer Expedition. They were 20" and they fit fine. Those tires should work on your truck, depending on your original tires your speedometer could be slightly off. Use this tire size calculator to see what the different tire sizes do to your speedometer reading. https://www.tacomaworld.com/tirecalc

Having said that your dealer should be able to calibrate your speedo to the size tires that you have, I have also heard that the speedometers are self regulating, I'm not sure how that works but when I went from the stock 17" tires to the 20"s the speedometer was right on when I checked it with an app on my phone and I didn't change anything.

Its usually 265/70 for the 17 inchers

Difference between 265/70 and 265/60 will drop your ride height 13mm ~= 0.5".... but goint up 1 inch in rim diameter adds 0.5" right back on.

So ride height and mounted tire-on-rim diameter stay identical, or like 1/16" change.... thats negligible

I put some 18's from a 2015 F150 and they rubbed metal under the front of my 2007 expedition. My Expedition has stock 20's. The wheels that didn't fit and a pic of my stock wheel. I put the tires in my sons truck and sold the wheels.IMG_3102.JPGIMG_2921.JPG

What tire size did you use?

Or was there actual suspension-to-rim contact rubbing down there??

Were the F150 rims wider???
