Bought a 98 xlt 6 months ago. The bags never leaked off until two weeks ago. I also never heard the pump come on and the ck suspension light was on. I took the really off the core support and tryed another one with no luck. I can get the pump to run by jumping the wires at the realy plug. But the rear doesn't raise. I also tryed running a ground from the battery to the signal ground on the plug and got nothing. Any help would be appreciated.

There are so many things that could be wrong. From the bag release valves to one of the solenoids, or leveling sensors. Its far cheaper and easier to do the coil swap. For the price of the compressor you can have the coils set up delivered to your door.

Sounds like the solenoid is dead. And I agree the coil conversion is cheaper on both short and long term
