Hey Guys,
Looking for some help or advice. I have an '07 Expedition EL. The Air Compressor for my suspension blew its cap, literally! I've removed the compressor and am planning on replacing it. Unfortunately, I can't get the quick disconnect to work on the air hose. I've tried pushing the orange ring down, up, and I've tried using needle nose pliers to remove the hose from the connection/cap. Am I able to cut the hose where it connects to the cap and be able to reconnect it once I receive the replacement compressor? If not, do you guys have any other suggestions?

Thanks for your help!

If they used a standard DOT fitting the ring pushes in and line will pull out. You may need to wiggle the line some. Post a pic if you are able to get one.

I have a picture and tried to post it but couldn't. I have attempted to push the ring down, up, and even attempted with needle nose pliers to no avail. At this point the metal piece that the hose goes into is no longer round.
When I try to post the picture it request for a URL. The photo is not out on the web. Maybe misunderstanding this. I can post it as an attachment, but, when I tried this nothing showed up as an attachment.

Attachments are limited to size @100k. You can put a link to a hosting site for larger pics. Usually there isn't extra line if you cut the line and fitting, would require replacing line and fitting if you do cut it.
