Air suspension conversion kit?

I am the proud owner of a 97 Expedition. Well, the air suspension on my Expedition just died and I am looking for the best conversion kit. I am in the market, but can't decide between 90006 Monroe and Strutmaster XN44-R1-F1-S-FE. Monroe is available for $208 and Strutmaster for $587. Does the Strutmaster kit work better because it costs more or is it fine to buy the Monroe kit? If you guys have any better recommendations, please let me know.

question....when it dies i'm assuming it doesnt lift anymore...so what all happens when it dies? why not go with another air suspension...i found a website that has air suspension parts for at least my 04...for those that have done the conversion...hows the ride quality after

My air suspension also died a couple of weeks ago and after many days of comparing and debating, I decided to replace my air suspension with Strutmaster springs. I actually found some on Ebay for $277 that included the springs and shocks. I received them yesterday and installed them today. (Took me about 2 1/2 hours of work). The ride is just smooth as the air suspension. I am very satisfied with my decision.

I bought the Monroe kit and installed it myself. I personally believe that the strutmaster's kit is the same thing just a different color. The only thing with installing springs and struts and everything is that if you tow alot you will have a small squat but nothing substancal. I also have a second kit that is the monroe kit that I would be able to let go cheap.
