So the other half is actually allowing me to buy a HU....with stipulations. I was looking on Crutchfield and I am thinking a pioneer AVH unit of some kind, and I know some of you guys have them, was looking at the Pioneer AVH-P2300DVD.

Now my 2nd row have audio controls, will I loose them if I install an aftermarket HU? I need to keep the steering controls as well, assuming I just use the fitment adapters like every other car I have had?

I have fitted many electronics in my cars in the past, but I just need to have clarification that I wont loose the above.

I also planning on Headrest monitors or flip downs at a later date, once I can find an installer around this sleepy town.

Advice would be appreciated.

I would personally try to find a discontinued AVH-P4200DVD as the screen is larger and can be had for about the same price.

You will lose the rear controls as stated, but they make adapters to allow your steering controls to still work.

Call Crutchfield and talk to them about exactly what you want, and they might have the adapter for the second row. I know they carry adapters for the steering wheels controls for most vehicles. Then if the price is to high through Crutchfield use the model #'s from what they said would work and buy through another internet supplier. I never pay more than 50% of MSRP for car audio stuff when I buy off of ebay.

Your rear seat is controled by the same system that controls your steering wheek controls. It can be saved. Look into geting an SWI-Jack from PAC. Every radio shop should know or have one.

I don't have steering wheel controls but i have rear and they don't work o well. But I like jvc units. Cheap and do everything all the others do. But use sonicelectronics cause they are cheaper and give you free stuff like dash kit and wire kit.
