Anybody else have this happening. Just the the AM 1 preset bank. Is your last station 530? I preset then all to 1000. Turn the car off and back on and the last station goes to 530. The longer it sits without starting my first 2 change to like 1100 and 1300. 2019 Limited

Do you listen to AM? Also, graphics look a little off, what version of Sync is installed. Go in to settings and post the specific version. X.X.XXXXX will be the format.

I just want to know if anybody else has this problem. I am deep into Ford engineering trying to fix this. Am I the only one or do others have this also. Just look at your AM 1 preset band and tell me if you have what I have. Simple

That was a crappy response to somebody trying to help you who actually knows what he is talking about. I have never heard of this issue. Please post the version of your Sync. I know more about Sync and the Versions than 99% of the ford Tech's out there. You want help or not?

It was not a crappy response. I have been to the dealer working with Ford Engineers no less than 9 times. Parts, modules, software updates, reinstalls. I'll assume you don't have my problem. Thank You.

Just humor me and post your Sync version....I will bet it is NOWHERE near the current version. Maybe current based on what FRDS is telling the tech, but not current. If the APIM has already been swapped, that is the only hardware that would affect this issue. Dude, I am trying to help. Do you want a possible solution, or keep screwing with Ford? Completely up to you. I am not a rookie at this, and not taking a stab in the dark.

SYNC 3.0 20204
Yep, NOWHERE near the current version. I would be willing to bet $20 bucks that updating to 3.4.20282(Current available is 3.4.22020) or above will remedy the issue. My guess is that at some point your APIM was swapped, it has newer firmware, and they are based on your post putting an older version of Sync on it. It can cause all kinds of undocumented weird behavior. Since I have never heard of this issue, and based on your response, neither has the helpline, it is a weird combo. I would update the software, then bill the dealer for my time if I was you...but I'm not.

I was about to say the same thing about the software version. My 19 f150 had an issue one day where after putting the truck in reverse, the reverse camera would stay on after putting it in drive and eventually cause the screen to go black and would continue to do so until the truck was turned off and the system reset. The second the reverse camera came up though, it was game over. If the reverse camera screen did go away for some reason, then it locked up the whole infotainment system where I couldn’t change radio channels or music inputs. Turns out I was running on the original software from when I bought the truck in 8/2019, even though I had my truck connected to my home WiFi and automatic updates turned on. The tech at the dealer did the update for me and it works flawlessly now, but was unfortunately out of warranty and cost me just shy of $300 to get it fixed and up to date.

Which would mean all expeditions with 3.0 have this problem. I will try it and thank you for your time
Nope. Could be a combo of Hardware and software. One module doesn't match another. In all of this, you said they replaced the "Radio Unit" in a previous thread, was that the APIM, or something else? The APIM controls many things including the "radio".

You also mention replacing the horn. You put 2 horns(Speakers) where there was one before...therefore doubling the impedance. Not sure if the APIM controls/powers that or the BCM? Never looked in to it.

The more I think about it, it seems to be a physical issue...Electrical draw issue, the AM preset is just the symptom.

Looking back through your previous posts, this has been going on for literally years!

Tutorial on how to updated your SYNC

This method will NOT work for him, because the Owner site will not give 3.4 as an option for a 2019 Expedition. He needs to use the CyanLabs Updater that has been discussed on here MANY times.

I replaced the horn with a 2018 horn. They have replaced the ACM and APIM I believe a couple times. A Regional Rep and a couple engineers have come out with their laptops and ran all their tests and reinstalled all the software. I had to reopen another case because Ford dropped me and said they are not working on it anymore and have a good day. I have an appointment in a couple weeks to take it back in , to a different dealer, to continue. I'm not going to do any upgrade myself until they just wont help me anymore.

Completely get it! Just annoying that you have been dealing with it SO long.

I am guessing the AM issue existed before the horn? I saw that the horn came from the previous year, but there might be a voltage setting related to it. Just throwing darts at the board.

Still think the new software is worth a swing, but do believe you are dealing with a voltage issue, and the AM creep is the symptom.

Good Luck!

Hi! I've only had our 2019 platinum Max for two weeks so I'm still learning all the features. I did have this issue when I first set the presets, it was on 530. We got it from another state so I assumed this was an old preset from the original owner. I set it for 550 (it's an AM we do listen to) the next day it was on 530. I assumed operator error and set it again. Haven't had an issue since.

Mine changes every time I power down, Wait 10-15 min and it's 530 again. If it sits overnight it will change by morning. If it sits for days the 1st two stations will change to something like 1010. Thanks for the post. Let me know if goes back to 530.
