You can smoke 35/12.5-18’s with 5Star tuning. Just saying.
I smoked 35s on my stock tune? But yeah anything with decent torque will move 35s. Should lock it in 4hi and start blowing the doors off every other truck and SUV out there. What octane calibration you get?

I'm trying to buy non ethanol fuel because of the corrosiveness to the Ethanol, I'd hate to see what 30% does over a long period of time.

Were the ecoboosts ever even flex fuel rated anyway??

Pretty sure they weren't?

First gen ecoboosts can handle to e30

New 2nd gen ecoboosts can handle e50.

And for about 10 gals of 93 you add 5 gals of e85 to get e30, all relative to how close to e85 the fuel station you are using actually is

i just ordered my tune, Why are you waiting for the intercooler to run E50? I got it as one of my tunes as well as 93. I have easy access to 93 so I preferred to just stay there.

Well I can’t run e50 in my gen 1 ecoboost. And I’m waiting because I want my air/cooling system finished before I start pushin 500-600hp. Stock intercooler is crap and I don’t feel 100% comfortable running e30 yet bc I just read something about a guy who was running e50 had warranty work done in his 2018 F-150 and had messed up fuel injectors from running e50 blend

It’s a wash for me....e85 in my 11 Silverado runs cooler, increases power but my gas mileage suffers. The Expy can’t run e gas.

Is that with the 5 star tune? Gonna wait till warranty expires. Wait, I have the lifetime power train warranty so I bet Ford would scold me for getting a tune or void the warranty one...
I would not trust any other company with tuning my vehicle over 5 star. They now have two 2018s of there own that they do the testing on. Some 3.5L F-150 guys run e50 and are easily pushing 500-600 hp/tq. Your factory fuel system can easily sustain e50 blend.

The issue with ethanol for me is the decreased fuel economy, the higher the ethanol content the lower your m.p.g. .I have access to 93 octane no ethanol fuel I think I may try it on a road trip. It may not make economic sense but I'm betting on 2 or 3 mpg better.

Yes that is the biggest downfall. You run ethanol your miles per gallon go down but SMILES per gallon go up. Ive always said it's either ECO or BOOST. Can’t have both!

500-600 hp/tq is worth the 2-3 mile per gallon decrease to me

Hi
Have the E30 5 star calibrations loaded in my 2018 EXPY & 2018 F150 3.5L ECOBOOST
Using E51 fuel here in AZ
Performance is phenomenal
Mileage is about 10% lower than with 91 E10
91 E10 is $3.899
E51 is $2.499
So much better performance & lower cost per mile for fuel
Lovin it:burnout:
