Another front row headrest post

I purchased a 2009 EL in July. Quickly I realized I hated the front row headrests. I found this website and did a search of this issue. I've tried adjusting the two rods as described in one post but they will not move for me. I seen a post somewhere (not sure if it was this website or not) that recommended this headrest (Amazon.com: Pyle PLD72BK Adjustable Headrests w/ Built-In 7-Inch TFT/LCD Monitor w/ Built in DVD Player & IR/FM Transmitter With Cover (Black): Car Electronics) would work but the rods are not as thick and therefore they move all over the place. Getting ready to take a long trip and would really like to have a good fix for the headrests before the trip. Can anyone recommend a replacement headrest that will adjust back and forth or one that at least is not so straight up and down? Will the rods be the same size where it will "lock" in place? Thanks in advance. I really appreciate it.

Those rods will bend. I had the same issue with my 2011. Take to headrest out completely. I accomplished this by placing the headrest between (2) boards with towels to protect the leather. While having my wife sit on the boards I pulled up on the two rods until were to my liking as far as driving comfort. Not really to difficult a job, but it does take 2 people.

I finally got it. Was able to bend the rods. Now my headrests are perfectly straight. Thanks!!!
