My apologies for repeating this topic, but I am on the fence what to do. I got my 2005 Expedition several months ago (Used with 150+ miles). Saw the carfax on it, the transmission was replaced around 149K, fluid is good and smells right.
A month later the left bank valve cover sustained a hole from the timing chain tensioner. The entire front end of the engine was rebuild (both chains and all the related hardware were replaced). The shop even replaced the plugs for me while they were in there.

So I was thinking this SUV should last for another 40-70K without any issues. Guess what, about a month ago went on a 1K miles round trip drive. The OD/Off light started to blink, checked fluid, it was good. Then it disappeared for the rest of the trip, then it would do it again during my to and from work (10 miles round trip).

I did a search, everything I find is all about 2 and 3rd gear clutch going bad. I ask myself, how can that be when the trans was re-build around the 149K miles and it only has 152K now.

Anyone else experienced this and not do anything major and the trans lasted or am I left with re-building it again. this is a 28-3200 repair.
