Is it stick up or down?

Reason i ask is because my 99 window went down and would not come back up but i could still hear the motor trying. I pulled the door panel off and the window had come of the track! It was a pain in the butt to get my hands in the for but a little while later and some jiggling i was able to get out back on track. Hope this helps.

Yeah if all your other windows work and the window is up it should be on track. When you push the switch can you hear the motor?

But yes i would say its probably the motor that has burnt up.

I had my window motor go out on me this last summer. It is a little tricky and is much easier done with two people, but is possible with one. They are also pretty cheap. Cost about 25-30 bucks for the entire regulator assembly. Best to buy this as opposed to just the window motor, so as not to have to mess with the spring, etc. One way to check the motor is run two wires from the battery to the motor, and try to run the motor. It runs on reverse polarity, so if it doesnt go one way, reverse the positive and ground wires on the motor to try and run it in the opposite direction. If you still get nothing, then replace the regulator. If the motor moves the window, look at the wiring between motor and switch or the switch itself. Here is a video of how to remove the regulator if you need it. This is what I used to replace mine.
