have my dash out replacing my temp control Blend door because it was stuck on cold. Got it from Ford for around $34 bucks. Anyway I can't fit my socket set in there with no extension on this back bolt... any ideas?

I do, thanks for the suggestion but this isn't working either. It's almost impossible to get to. I would pry up and crack the actuator off, if it wasn't attached to plastic. Now I see why Ford charges people $700 to do this job. The "correct way" is supposedly to remove the entire dashboard and controls but I'm not getting involved in that.

hard to tell, how about a swivel box end wrench
also in a pinch I have taken cheap wrenches and heated them with a torch and bent them to the angle that would fit the particular job

Didn't give up just said that as a motivator lol (what I said and deleted that I gave up). Sometimes if you just walk away for a second and say your done you get recharged. Anyway the $60 set didn't help but this did. Talk about ghetto.

man you would never make it as a mechanic lol

I still say a swivel box might work but it easy for me I have every tool under the sun from my wrenching days

or maybe a 1/4" socket on a 1/4" breaker bar

you need something with an offset those ratchet box wrenches arent going to do you any good

Well I put it back together and gave up, no heat for me this winter. That's what jackets are for. Ford can suck it, that is literally the dumbest thing I have ever seen yet on This vehicle.
What about a pair of Needle nose or long nose pliers? Or 90 degree angle long nose pliers?

I have it all out back together they were 8mm and no Brian no desire to be a mechanic lol. All I have are regular sockets, box wrenches so I didn't have anything that would come close.

Where there is a will there is a way. If all else fails, you could always cut the heads off with a Dremel tool and then use a pair of pliers to unscrew the shaft.
