Probably no more diffcult than recarpeting a room. I can't speak from personal experience, but just seeing pictures of people taking the carpet up to do body lifts, it looks like it just uses the plastic trimming to hold it down in most spots.

You probably have 2 or 3 hours to pull out the seats and trim and maybe another hour to get all old carpet out.

Even if you use custom molded carpet, you'll still need a hair dryer or heat gun to get the carpet to lay nice and flat.

If you're going to do this, it's also a good time to put down some self adhesive sound barrier material. Also a good time to run wires for accessories like an inverter, rear power point or stereo amp.

tonydiv is correct. I have never done an Expedition but I have done my past car and truck. The best way (I think) is to have the vehicle specific molded carpet and lay the carpet out for a day or so, if you can. And be very patient
I think pulling all the panels, seats, center concol, door trims etc. and putting it all back in is more difficult.
