Audio volume limited by MyKey--how to adjust?

Hey all,

I recently picked up a '17 XLT and seems like the volume is limited to 14 by the mykey system? I don't know how to raise or eliminate that, and I don't recall it happening when I first bought the truck a few months ago, so I'm stumped as to how it started since I didn't set it. Anyhow, I did a quick google search and the method I saw to change it didn't work on my vehicle. Anyone here have experience making that adjustment with a similar vehicle?

I've got one mykey for my 2012, nothing else. From what I've found looking into this, the fix is-

Download Forscan-
Buy new key from Amazon/Ebay
Buy obd adapter for Forscan
Program new key as an admin key

I'm assuming your model is going to be something along those lines.

Mine came with two keys, but they both look the same, is there one that controls mykey?

And no, I didn't look at the manual. Not sure it came with one, but I'll look around.

Try both keys. When you start it with a mykey you will get a mykey message. If one of your keys is an administrative key you won't get that message. An admin key can be used to change the programming of a mykey.
There's no way to visually determine what type of key it is, all done with programming.
