Hi all, I purchased a used 2017 which was evidently a rental vehicle. Dealer told me that the sync and rear view camera were not purchased as it was a fleet vehicle. My question is the camera is on the hatch, would it be possible that the plug for the camera is already there and just needs plugged in somewhere? Thanks

So are you saying there's a camera already installed in the tailgate, and u want to know how to access it via the screen?

I'm most positive that by law all 2015 models are suppose to be equipped with backup cameras...

Yes the camera is on the hatch just when we put it in reverse nothing happens. The dealer thought that maybe it was an option that was deleted due to it being a fleet vehicle. I’m just trying to find a way to utilize the stock camera before buying a chincy aftermarket.

Check the right side pillars for the camera wire.. Should be an rca looking wire...
That's where the wire is ran on the 07-15 models... I'm not sure about ur truck though

Go onto youtube, there are videos on checking the camera.. Most likely its the settings in to main screen that needs to be turned on
Go to settings
Backup camera
On - off
On
Then check in reverse...

Yeah, You need to walk back in to that dealer an smack the crap out of him. Complete BS. All 2017’s sold in the US must have a working rear back up camera. It was not an option that could be turned off even for fleet vehicles.
