Ok I need some help in trouble shooting this issue I have with the back up sensors
Since I've had the truck the back up sensor never worked. And honestly it really didn't matter to me if it did or not. But I have notice when it rains they begin to work when I go in to reverse. So now I'm trying to figure out how in the world it works when it rains and doesn't work when it's dry out. Any clues on to where or how this could be?:imo:

Broken wire or lose plug on the wires.the water gets in there and complete the connection. So you would have to trace the wires and see where the bad connection is.

How many sensors are on the rear bumper Depending on the year and model you may have 3 or 4 sensors

Can you understand wiring diagrams.

Suggest you check the connectors at the sensors for any signs of water, corrosion ,breaks etc. Clean the terminals on both side of the connectors and reinstall with some dielectric grease

water or ice on the sensors could cause a false reading

the 03 has two systems either 4 sensors or 3 sensors in the 3 sensor system the 3rd sensor is a radar sensor. The wiring is a little different so let me know what you have and I'll post some prints for you

There are 3 one on each side and there is one in the middle which is the radar sensor I have attached all the prints for the parking aid You only need the first three, 131-01,02 and 03

there are some lengthy test procedures for testing the circuits Someone on the forum posted a link for the 03 service manual Suggest that you download a copy
