This question is specifically towards Expeditionary but also applies to anyone that knows the answer...

Do you have to modify anything to put the third row seat in facing backwards?

The brackets on the seats themselves seem to be a little different, so was wondering if I needed to unbolt and rebolt anything to make it work.

Thanks! Hope to hear back and go ahead and do this in the morning!

My third row has no seat belts anymore, thats one of the locations my enclosures are bolted in. I guess the center seat still has the one integrated into the seat.

I dont know if the attachment points in the floor are the same spacing. The rollers on the bench are wider in the front and the can roll right by the rear points. I would assume that they are slightly off from each other. But now I wanna know. Would be great for tailgating and shows. Would make me want to put a flip down screen in the tailgate if it worked.

Yep, you are totally right. Doesn't work. Not on mine at least. You'd have to modify the the slots that are closer to the tail gate to be wider in order to accommodate for the side with the larger wheels on it. Don't know how else to make it work.

Probably, like I said... mine's not physically possible without modification. Kind of bummed, but oh well. I'm not about to sit there and fabricate something just so I can put my seat differently. If anything, I'd buy one from an earlier model Expedition on Craigslist for like $60... People are selling them nonstop on Craigslist.

yep, 97-98 expos do not have the wheels on the bench and the 4 holes in the floor are the same size and location. Apparently the 99+ bench is nearly 25lbs heavier. Just did some googling. Now time to find a beige 97-98 bench.
