Has compression, new injectors, coils and spark plugs.

I believe p0301 is cyl 1 misfire. A restricted cat would impact he entire engine with sluggish acceleration and difficulty revving under load. You can check for that with a vacuum gauge plumbed into the intake.
Check the coil wire harness and the connector itself.

Do not continue to drive with a misfire, will ruin the cat for sure, been there done that.

I have P0301 code and it is from a bad cylinder... the compression is extremely low. 2 shops want to replace the entire engine at a cost of ~7K and they wouldn't even try to repair. I have been adding octane boost to keep the idle from being too rough and drove it almost 13K miles so far. Only 130K miles on the engine. Hope yours is something simple. This is my first and last Ford.
