Base Radio Reset Issue

I have a 2022 XLT with the 12" infotainment screen. When setting the sound equalizer/tone controls they reset to the mid levl setting every time I shut the car off.... is this normal. It seems to be a stupid idea. Why would I want to reset the tone controls every time I drive my car. Hopefully there is at least some logical explanation.......

Make sure you have the latest software update. This is a known issue with a certain version.

How in the world did they let a big like this out into production. Lack of proper validation no doubt.
