Bad Alternator, bad battery, dirty posts, bad cables, etc. etc. Is it draining while you drive? Like when you step on brakes, or use turn signals, or turn lights on? Then probably your alternator... Does it have trouble turning over? Give us a little more info, and we should have someone that will chime in and be able to help you.

I would check the above list first, and have the battery checked out. One dead cell can cause quite a bit of problems.

I picked up a small waterproof battery charger and installed it under the hood. Now, if the truck is going to be sitting for more than a few days, I just plug in the charger and it will keep everything topped off.

I'm gonna stick with my original thought too and say alternator. I couldn't drive 5 blocks without the battery draining a few months ago. Replaced the alternator and all was well.

A simple test isto use a volt meterwith a good battery and eng idling should have at least 13.6v up to 14.4, if not alt is probably bad.
