Hi everyone...

What is the wire harness above the t-stat housing that is responsible for the battery light in the dash???

I gotta order one.

Stupid Pepboys replaced my t-stat about a year ago due to no heat - even tho I already replaced it....I figured what the heck.
Well they replaced it and told me that the battery light is on...I told them they did something since i never had that light come on.
We looked at the t-stat housing and the wire harness next to the housing was broken -I removed it when I changed the t-stat...the tech admitted he bent it out of the way.....when i moved it the battery light went out. So they promised to order another harness to replace it....I took my truck and some months later after no call from them, I went in and they dont remember anything about replacing it.
Lesson learned....get it in writing....

Two options are available.

1) You can get replacement plugs/pigtale for the alternator that have a few inches of wiring with them. If you go this route solder each wire and use heat shrink tubing to protect it. Do Not Use Ass Connectors (Butt Connectors).

A decent shop can replace just the pin connector and keep the same plug as long as there is enough of the harness available.
