Hey Gang,

New member, signed up hoping to find some advice as an hour or two on Google didn't provide any meaningful results. Have a 2008 Expedition and today I went to clean off some corrosion from the positive terminal on the battery. When I went to tighten everything up the clamp broke in half and now is not seated enough to get any power whatsoever. I've looked online at universal terminal replacement parts but there doesn't seem to be enough slack in the harness to allow an aftermarket fix of just the terminal clamp. Has anyone had a similar situation and/or had any luck with a simple fix?

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

Like Stamp stated just replace the cable. It's so easy on Fords as the cable runs Right to the solenoid a foot away. The negative is tougher because that one runs underneath. But yours is a 10 minute job, that costs less than $10.00 unless you go oem Ford, even then its probably not more than $25.00 and comes with the protective boot. Be sure to disconnect your negative first, but you already knew that!
