Hey all, i'm back on as I'm getting my Expedition back as my primary vehicle. I am having a mechanic fix the front heater core/blend door etc. My question is, since the heater core is plugged and needs to be replaced, do you have to replace the rear heater core at the same time as to take away the risk of re-
plugging the good heater core. I'm assuming the systems are tied together or is there a valve or something that truly separates them? If anyone has any input, it would be greatly appreciated.

If your system is dirty enough to plug the front heater core, it will do the same to the rear. A good flush is needed also.

thank you for the info stamp, yeah, i think i decided to just have the mechanic do both front and rear at the same time. If i'm spending that much money, might as well spend another couple hundred and just have the whole system working right.
