Belt squeal when shifting...

Anyone else had this problem...i thought at first when i bought my truck the new belt i put on just needed to be worn in a little....but 4 months later it still squeals when it shifts from 1st to 2nd...(now this is only when i get on it...) if i drive like a grandma then it doesnt, then if the pedel is to the floor it will also do it from 2nd to 3rd....ive tried belt dressing...but all that did was make it squeal for 2 days all the time.....then after that wore in...in just went back to shifting......any thoughts....thanks guys...

Tensioner bad or weak. Belt the wrong size. One of your accessories or idler pulleys going bad. Oil or coolant getting on belt.

Check the tensioner and use a Goodyear gatorback belt.

mine only dose it when she dosent want to shift into 2nd. stay in 5k and red line then it shifts and squeal!

o yea i didn't think about tensioner, but surprisingly it doesn't leak hardly any oil so i know its not that, and i hope its not an accessories....is the tensioner hard to replace....

Very easy to replace. 3 bolts...10mm I believe.

ive had better luck with Nascar brand belts but similar disign to the gatorback

either is better than a solid rib belt
