Have any of you replaced/upgraded your battery cables or did a big 3 upgrade? If so what did you do about the fusible links?

I have an '03 and my terminals are kinda ratty. I have some extra military style terminals and some leftover 2 ga battery cable from a former Jeep project and was thinking about replacing the cables and terminals, but not sure how to deal with the fusible links that are in the OEM cables

I left the existing cables and added the big 3 on top of that with its own fuse holder. Its what 3 audio shops recommended

I also just added better wiring on top of the factory wires. The fuseable link is there to save the vehicles electrical system in the rare occurrence that the alternator full fields (think run away diesel) it is not a scenario that occurs often anymore. If you are concerned about it, any good car stereo shop will have what's known as an anl fuse and holder. They are rated for the amperage you need for an alternators output.
