You know, it's really not all that hard to set one up like that. All you really need is a couple of Rockwell axles, a generic 4 link kit for the rear, leaf springs for the front and a few other odds and ends. Way easier to engineer than it would be if you tried to keep the IFS.

If mine were ever to become "just a toy" and not my daily driver, I would think about it. It may actually even be easier to just dump the body on to a shortened F250 frame and then use off the shelf lift components.

yup but let alone the price of rockwell... the price for 54" boggers was like 800$ a piece.... never saw the price for baja claws... so 3200$ just for 4 tires then need to get some new rims at least 12-14" wide probably a grand... then 4 link, rockwells and some shocks looking at close to 7 grand or more!!!!... just gonna keep the 37s till I win the lottery...lol

dont see why you couldnt do this with hd dana60s regeared. im thinking on a budget between 6 and 9 grand this can be done. provideing you do all your own fab work. if i go with sas i will be running d60s under and hope enough hight to run 44s. first thing is to find an old military dodge pickup. thats the biggest expense next to the tires.

if your looking for d60s find an old f250 or 350. they have d60s and are more available. but it is a little too extreme. did anyone see at one point his tires disappeared under the mud. and his body was at water level. good thing he had all that lift.

yeah that is an option. but the old dodges with the d60s are regeared for military specs. and will run 44s

yeah, when i get mine done, i plan on running 8" lift with probably 41's, maybe 44's. i think i am just going to leave my rear axle alone, just regear it with some selectable lockers, but go with a d44 or d60 up front, with selectable locker as well. and i agree, he should have sold his hitch! but at leat this way he has something he can hook up to if he needs to pull out one of those suzukis!!!!!!!!

o wow there is a hitch up front. haha i guess he can tow the sukis out with that. but still a little high up there. dgray i see your point about why you want the dodge d60s. but if your going to get an old axle i would recommend cleaning it all out. so if your opening it up shouldnt you put new gears in there anyways? just an option.
