I have a 2005 ford expedition and my blend door actuator is broken. I live in a really cold place and really need heat in my car ASAP! I don't have the money to buy the replacement part until a few weeks from now. I was wondering if there was a way I could just open the vent manually so that the heat comes into the cab without fixing the actuator (a/c and heater have manual knobs). Thanks guys!

Here's how you get to it. If it's just the standard clicking issue, you can take it out, set it to full heat and put it back in. Then just not plug it in, and it'll stay where it is. The major con with this is that you have to redo the same job again when you can buy the actuator.

which blend door? do u have rear air?
The front blend door actuator (my A/C and heater has manual knobs).

If he needs heat now, it's no big deal to job again when part comes in. It's his labor not a shops. Leave radio out till fixed. You can always live without music for a while.
