Bolt on Cat System

Hey guys. I been searching online and there are alot of bolt on cat systems that replace what is currently under the car. My truck is a california truck and i notice that all them will not work on my car. If I replace what I have with one of these "49 state legal" ones will it start throwing codes on my truck? Or will it just not make it smog legal in CA? I am in the military and my truck is now registered in florida with florida plates so smog or inspecition will never be an issue again. Any help would be awesome. Thanks.

Everything should just bolt up without any problems. But it won't pass a smog check.

right on thanks man. I just got under the truck it has four cats. do all the 03's have 4?
