Traded our 2018 EXPY XLT with FX4 & HD Tow for 2020 Expedition limited with HD Tow
Rear of vehicle just too "BOUNCY" compared to our 2018
Has anyone experienced this issue?
Does anyone have a good solution?

Sounds like your rear shocks went bad.

Base shocks are notorious for going bad. Also, it sounds like it's been sitting for awhile, so that also can be why as well. Take it back n have a tech ride wit you in it as well as another similar truck and point out how one is bouncier than the other.

I had this issue when my rear struts were worn. Could be a bad part from the factory that failed prematurely.

our 2018 EXPY with the FX4 option had much better suspension
Wonder what complete rear struts for an FX4 would cost

I believe the fx4 at the time had different brand of shock than Regular. I will tell you, my 18 limited (or any limited I've driven on normal shocks) never felt overly bouncy.

I swapped to the bilsteins and feel like the ride is more firm and controlled. All my shocks were leaking or showing signs of leaking at under 20k if I remember right.

Mine 2012 Limited El is extremely choppy bouncy. Especially in the cold, it got so bad I had to park it. It almost jumped a lane on the freeway going over a mild bump at 60 mph. I can't even go over train tracks without the back end bucking up like a wild horse. I actually parked it and went back to driving my trusty 2001 expedition with 250k. It actually rides smoother than my 2012 el Limited in cold temperatures. Any ideas what is causing this issue?

Our 2017 which was an Aug 2016 build and had been setting for a year had the very same issue. Finally got the dealer to replace the rears under warranty. Fixed the problem very nicely. Before it was fixed it was dangerous to drive as there was little to no rear control.

We have a "new" low mileage 2013...replaced a well worn 2004. Suspension on this one is evil--quite bouncy, and going over a rough spot on the interstate at high speed I thought we would loose contact with the ground! Shocks and struts? Recommendations on a good brand of each? Many thanks.

my 2020 Platinum is also bouncy lately. The dealer checked the shocks out and said no trouble was found. I think I need to replace them
