Hi everyone, so for about the last 2 or 3 weeks I've been getting the advancetrack and check brake system warnings with the brake light ABS light and traction control light all coming on, this happened about 8 hours after changing the water pump which I think is coincidental but I could be wrong, (the truck drives and brakes perfectly). At times the lights and messages would not come on at all, everything comes on after hitting 35 miles an hour but I did notice today that they don't come on at all if I let the car warm up for about 5 minutes or more. Any clues on what's going on with my 2011 expedition?

Did you ever find what was happening here? My son has a 2010 F150 and it is doing the same thing.

No I haven't figured it out yet, people are saying it's a wheel hub on other threads but the crazy thing is is that the white will go off after driving for about 20 minutes turning the truck off and then starting it right back up more than half the time the lights don't come back on. Did you also change a water pump?

No, his just started happening and there have been no changes. He can turn the truck off, and that sometimes resets the lights and then they may be off for 2 days or 2 miles. Drove about 250 miles last weekend each way. That was when light went on heading to destination and went off and stayed off all the way back. Came on yesterday again on way home from work and went off when truck was shut off. Back on before leaving neighborhood this time. He will be coming over this weekend to see if we can hook a scanner up and see if we can read wheel speed sensors to determine if one of those are failing.

Full disclosure, when you hook that scanner up the only code you'll get is the one in my description, unless the check engine light is on there's not going to be any other codes if it's just the brake light I would check to see how thin his brake pads are beyond that if the ABS light brake are on with the service advance track warning message and the check brakes warning message it could be the brake module or the wheel hub from what I've been reading, I don't really have the money to go chasing it down at the moment is why I haven't tried to eliminate problems but I will say with the brake module it's supposed to be under the battery I believe you might be able to unplug it and then plug it back in that might get some corrosion off of it I'm not sure where you're located but we had severe cold weather where I'm at and that's about when it came on for me.

I think forscan or OBD fusion is supposed to be able to read wheel speed sensor PIDs. Will see what we can find. I'll check resistance in sensors and see if we are getting any AC voltage out of them when spinning the wheels. If it is intermittent, will be a pain to diagnose.

So I don't know if spending them will help per se I hope for your sake it does because it'll make it a little easier for me to track down if that works for you but I can tell you I've noticed it only comes on after I hit about 30 miles an hour or I've driven about 16th of a mile. But please let me know what you figure out

Wheel speed sensors are available on forscan. Tested on my expedition and will try on his truck this weekend when he comes over. On mine all 4 match so I'll see what his look like.

Son came over and fault showed up on the drive. Didn't turn off and used Forscan on son's truck and said RF wheel sensor fault. Did a drive and it showed no signal on the graph. Turned off truck and it worked fine, so it was staying intermittent and seems that once it declares the issue, quits reading. We looked at the connection and there did seem to be some corrosion gunk on the pins at the connector. Did a cleaning with electrical cleaner and small screwdriver and put it back together. Since it is intermittent, not sure if/when he'll see the issue again, but using my OBDLink MX+ and Forscan on the phone let me see the issue fairly quickly.

Good to know, update on mine, shortly after our last comments on here my power steering pump failed and had to replace it, it's been a couple days and for some reason today the lights did not come on at all. I will also note that it's been parked in a parking garage all weekend and not at my house but I don't think that that had anything to do with it
