Ok so new to the form but hopefully y’all can come to the rescue. I am a new expedition owner and I got a 2012 xlt el with less than 100k on it for a steal of a deal. From a dealer in south Memphis. It needed love but I’m a great shady tree mechanic, and I knew I could get her right. The bones were good in her.
So I did everything that was needed right away which was plug and coils. I had a 2008 f150 and knew the moment I test drove her that that’s what she needed to get right. She came back to running right. Win 1 .
Then I did front struts ( got a hell of a deal on premium car quest brand ones from rock auto) rides better.
The windshield was replaced by an idiot of a glass guy. It doesn’t leak ( the windshield) but the guy surely broke every single tap on the cowl and ripped the rubber which was failing already. Plus he broke the sprayer hose in 3 places. So I can “patch” the old one up but I want to get a new one unfaded one because the car lived most of his life in South Georgia. Those things are not cheap and I don’t wanna spend $500 on two parts of plastic.
I was originally looking at the F150 cows which you can easily get for less than $100 but they’re not long enough or at least with the measurements given online. They don’t look long enough. Has anyone tried to use an F150 cow cover at the base of the windshield?
Is there an aftermarket company that I’m just not seeing?
