Guys I need some help. I was removing my steering column covers today and I noticed right behind the ignition switch there are two yellow wires that go into a connector. The connector is spring loaded or appears to be anyway. When I remove the lower cover I noticed the wire was pulled away from the connector and I'm not sure if it's broken or if it's a two piece or what can anyone give me any information about this? It looks like there is a rod really small that it works but I'm not entirely sure.

Just guessing..... might be the antitheft system.

Also, if you have pedal adjustment, the wiring is in the same location. If so, you will see wiring going to the pedals.

Man this has puzzles me beyond words. I took it off this morning because I had a no start no crank issue. Later realized that it was my starter that was bad. So would those two yellow wires prevent the truck from running?

Am I reading your dilemma correctly...... you discovered your starter was faulty..... replaced the starter, now the truck cranks, but doesn't run?

I'll install the starter tomorrow. Had the old one tested and it was bad.
