Can anyone link that old post that had all the build dates listed when the AC issues were, and when the plastic oil pan was updated? I know I've read it a while ago, but I can't find it searching. I'm looking at a used 18 or 19 for my wife, and I wanted those build date specifics before I even start getting serious!

Thanks.

See post #34 in the attached thread. https://www.expeditionforum.com/thr...to-2018-limited-with-tow-package.38146/page-4

Build dates of March 20, 2018 and forward have the aluminum oil pans.

Contaminated refrigerant was January 2 - February 6, 2018 build dates per this TSB.

How can you tell the build date? I think I used to know but I can't remember. My window sticker was printed 1/22/18, and the only possible indication I can find on my window sticker is down here:

It sure seems like it was built in the "bad time" for the refrigerant issue, but I have never had a problem. Was it all vehicles built in that window, or just some? Did I dodge a bullet or am I sitting on a time bomb?

As far as I know, your build date should be January 11, 2018 (last 6 digits under the word "Special"). A quick call to your dealer and they can run your VIN to see if you're affected. I had a similar scare on my F350 for a transmission recall where my truck fell in the TSB data range, but it wasn't affected.

My tag says 3/18 and it is a 2018. Does that mean March of 2018 or does it mean March 18th?

It's month and year, so March, 2018. The actual production date is probably a few days after the date printed on the window sticker from what I've read.

Gosh these things used are nearly impossible to find and they want almost as much as new now. I think I'm just going to buy this one new as well. Damn, 6 months ago, they were giving these things away with low miles. I'm sure after the election everything will get back to normal.

cant say for ford but I know for a fact Toyota prints the sticker when it rolls off the line, unless they do post production work on the car and that would delay the sticker by a few days.
