Hello,
I haven't found anything on here yet about anyone successfully using the lock outs for the cam phasers? What customs tune was used for the timing?

Why do you wish to lock them out? If they are loud and your engine is dieseling lockouts don’t fix the low oil pressure and will only mask the issue until it smokes a head. If you are having issues the only way to fix is a new oil pump and timing set with new phasers. If you just seek to lock them out and put a bigger cam in that’s a whole other ball of wax.

Thank you for the reply, I've replaced both timing chains/guides and updated tensioners new rocker arms Etc. The phasers are about 6,000 miles old. I did not replace the oil pump when I was in there but the updated rocker arms are designed to increase oil pressure. I don't know I was asking to see if anybody has done that and see if they've had any luck with those lockouts.

I’m not a fan of the lockouts myself, if you updated the timing set and have good enough oil pressure you should be fine. Contrary to popular belief the camphasers aren’t the real issue that causes the mayhem. It’s low oil pressure that smokes the phasers and they basically tell you there is a problem. Without them working an oil pressure problem can go unnoticed until it’s too late. Beyond that the camphasers retard and advance timing as needed for increased horsepower. So locking them out reduces power. That’s my opinion, I’m sure others agree and disagree.

New phasers are around 6000 miles old. Chains and guides and tensioners are new. I replaced the rocker arms with the new updated ones. Has plenty of oil pressure. I'm just asking if anyone has done the lock out, Not doing any cam swap.
