Hey All,

The driver seat in my 2006 Expedition Ltd. is starting to look a little ragged and it has developed a "dip" where I slide in and sit on a regular basis. And the stitching is starting to pop on the seams of the leather on the door facing side. But the passenger seat is pretty much pristine since nobody uses it. I was wondering if the two seats are "swappable?" Can I swap them out with each other and use the control panels and plastic molding from each on the other to keep the controls on the correct side after a swap out? The idea of doing this appeals to me because I would also be putting the worn out side of the driver seat in the opposite position on the passenger side. So the dip and the popped stitching would no longer be facing the door side and continue getting the wear it is getting now.

I've already taken the driver seat out on my own once before to replace the forward/backward servo motor so I know how to get the seats out. I just don't know if they are a "universal" sku that can be used in either position or if they are different.

Anyone here ever try this and know if it is possible?

Thanks!

Bummer.... I was really hoping for a no cost option. But at least there is a cheaper alternative than replacing the entire chair! Thanks for the link.
