mbtech is correct. Something came unplugged, could be the check valve but more often is the vacuum supply line that goes into the firewall just forward of the glove compartment. this happened to me when I accidentally ripped that vacuum line out of the firewall as I was removing the RH valve cover. The firewall connection consists of a single grommet with a white and a black vacuum line. The white goes to your hot water controller. I made a video on this that I never got around to editing and posting, but I installed a new vacuum line from the check valve, ran it over the throttle body and then through an unused grommet in the firewall on the driver side (under the vacuum booster), and into the junction of vacuum lines just forward of the console (black vacuum line). So basically I bypassed the firewall connection because re-establishing that would require removing the dashboard, which is a huge job. Not sure if what I said makes sense.
