naw, they are hardly ever accurate...go to radio shack (or whatever) and buy a swr/mod meter...just a 20$ one will do. They are much more accurate, and if you want that bad boy to survive without replacing finals every few months...then its a necsesitiy.

I imagine a ground strap will cure your problems, although if your coax is dry rotted or cracked, that will be the culprate too.

BTW..nice radio...those thing can really talk if they are done up right.

is that a COBRA 29 BT? thats the radio i run in my big truck... after having it peaked and tweaked it works awesome... your console is different then my 97, does anyone know if that style will fit in mine???
