The only issues I have heard from using the Motorcraft plugs is the breakage issue when removing them. While most have seen no problems with using Champion, E3, Bosch, etc, these are the ones you see having intermittant problems with rough idle/misfire due to bad plugs. I have always heard using OEM plugs is your best bet, and I just bought a set to install this weekend. Wish me luck!!

Good luck indeed. If you get the chance and have the space I always like to soak the plugs overnight with PB Blaster...just a little extra help

Well, not a good start to the plug change......first 2 broke!! I found out I need a deeper 15/16 socket to turn the extractor tool all the way, and since my wife is out and about tonight, I was unable to proceed any further.
I did soak the plugs with PB Blaster for an hour, but to no avail. The first one broke pretty much right away, and I thought the second one was good to go until the squeak stopped and it turned too easily, even backing it up after every 1/4 turn. Hopefully an overnight soak of the remaining 6 helps out.

Yuck..no fun....An old trick is also to do a routine of 1/4 turn tighten or so before you loosen...sometimes it works better that way
