So I bought my expy last sat towed it to the shop and let it set. In a previous post i described the problems. Yesterday I removed all the coils. Waiting on the new ones to arrive. Left the plugs in because didn't want anything to fall in the holes. I ended up pulling the fuel rail. I guess i should replace injector orings? I took one injecter completely out like a retart and can't get it back into the rail?

Long story short I had 2 boots that had rips in them. I'm assuming this is causing my bad preformance. My thought is the spark is jumping anywhere within the rip it wants.

I have read so many horror stories on changing these plugs. Anybody had issues chaning plugs in a 97 IE them breaking off? Also whats the correct torque:Violin:

I per say haven't had any problems....but i would spray some type of liquid penetrating down the hole and let them set for a bit....work them out nice and easy....replace with OE plugs Motorcraft...they do have a torque spec that you should follow when re-installing them...if you got the fuel rail out, I would replace all the "O" rings top and bottom...use a little Vaseline when putting the new ones on..for the couple of buck you will save your self a headache down the road
