The (flimsy) cover to the charge port in the rear seat console snapped off.

The dealer said that they had to replace the entire face of the console for this $0.25 worth of plastic :(

Has anyone else run into this? Any suggestions for a cheaper replacement?

If not, we will be going coverless!

Thanks.

Looks like a great candidate for searching in junk yards. Or maybe eBay.

snap the other on off too, then both look equal. Or get the pieces and glue them back together. There are ways to make broken plastic pieces strong again by reinforcing them with thin wire mesh and meting it into the plastic.

You could always get some cheap plugs to keep dirt and moisture out and just be done with it. I like to have a set of these around to keep stuff out of my phone charger port etc.

Didn't snap the cover off, but our 120V outlet is really loose. You're right, this whole area is just woefully cheapened out. I may be breaking out the epoxy to fix my issue, and may just snap off those covers while I'm at it as someone else suggested.

If you replace it, they will just break it off again. I'm on expedition #2 and they have broken the same things in both. The freaking recline buttons for the 3rd row, the ceiling air vent pieces, and the charge port cover. (not to mention a few other things) Anyway, the cover just is a bad idea, if it is open its actually pretty easy for something/someone to hit it and knock it off. They actually have stayed on longer than I expected to be honest.
